Friends call me Lynn. My mother-in-law calls me “that bitch.” But I’ll pretty much answer to anything. I’m helpful like that. I’m a wife, mom, artist, and writer. Married to my ever-patient husband, for more than 20 years, I’ve been somehow afforded a really great life with two pretty awesome kids… my little science experiments. We haven’t totally screwed them up yet. So I guess we’re doing something right.
As any parent knows, life with kids is fun, challenging, frustrating, and a general mind-fuck. But it’s the most amazing job I’ve ever had. And, much to their chagrin, provides the greatest pool of writing material anyone could ask for.
I grew up in Orange County, CA, have a BA in Advertising and have worked in ad agencies, corporate marketing, as well as freelance illustration and design. A few years ago I rekindled my love for words on paper, and did some writing workshops at Stanford. I met some really cool and supportive people who gave me the confidence to believe that I could write. It’s probably total crap. But I’m going to do it anyway. Feel free to blame them.
